CHILDREN BURNED OCCUPANTS OF ONE HUT i PARENTS AWAKENED TOO LATE LAND DEVELOPMENT TRAGEDY The six children of Mr and Mrs 'Edward Biddle, Maoris employed at the Maori land development settlement between Tokaanu and Taupo, who were occupying a hut next to that in which their parents were sleeping were fatally burned last night when the hut wac totally destroyed by Are. The Are was not discovered until the hut was enveloped in flames, and although valiant attempts were made to rescue the children, who were extricated from the building, they were all badly burned.
