BOYS’ CLUB ENTERTAINS
FOR CARNIVAL QUEEN A concert and supper was held at Holy Trinity, Forest Lake, in support of Miss G. Radford, Forest Lake Carnival Queen. The concert was given under the auspices of the Buys’ Club, the leader being the Rev. D. 11. V. Michael, B.A. Songs were given by the following boys:—John Dixon, R. Mill, W. Reinslleld, 0. Irxine. Elocutionary items were given by B. Dixon, T. Dixon, S. Brain, T. Brain, S. Reinsfield, and lan Liddell. Mouth-organ solos were given by O. Irvine and J. Barker, and a pianoforte solo was rendered by J. Mallett. Mr Henderson gave an interesting turn as a conjuror and ventriloquist. The vicar, the Rev. V. A. Bianchi, in expressing his pleasure at being present, thanked Mr Michael, the boys and Mr Henderson. The vicar made reference to the Young Churchmen's League suggesting that the Holy Trinity Boys’ Club would merge into that particular league of youth. The supper arrangements were in the capable bands of Mrs R. W. Bennett and Mrs J. G. McKinley. Community singing brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
