CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE
TE AWAMUTU AND DISTRICT (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. At a meeting of the Te Awamutu and District Centennial Committee Mr* J. T. Johnson presided over a representative attendance. It was decided tu hold a queen carnival to close on November 25. There would be three candidates representing town, sports, and country respectively. Conveners of committees were appointed as follows:—Town, Mr R. G. Connal; sports, Mr M. Barnett; and country, Mr J. Pattison. It was intended to commence activities as soon as possible. The secretary and treasurer is Mr K. >. Kelly, and lie and Mr J. T. Johnson will act as trustees of the fund.
