FAIRY CAKES Four oz. butter, 4oz. sugir. 2 eggs, ooz. flour, loz. arrowroot, moderate teaspoon baking powder. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time beating each well in. Add sifted flour, arrowroot and baking powder and a little flavouring. Add a little milk if mixture is too stiff. Leave aside for a few minutes and then give a Anal mix before putting into buttered patty tins. This helps the cakes to rise up into the attractive peak usually desired. Bake in a hot oven.
