TAXI B^LL The Morrinsville taxi drivers held a ball in the Civic Ballroom in aid of the Morrinsville Physical Culture Club. The ballroom was gaily decorated with streamers . and balloons, and a Hamilton orchestra supplied the music, an extra being played by J. Carter. Novelty dances were won by Miss Fields and Mr Boarn, and Miss A. Holmes and Mr \V. Haycock. Among those present were:—Mesdames Alps, lilac satin; C. Manwell, black eraquelle; K. Messrs D. Hobbs, E. Stewart and B. Bean. Novelty dances wore won by Miss L. Evetts and partner, and Miss M. Yardlcy and partner. After a delicious supper, Mr Thompson presented Miss Evetts with a gold watch from a number of friends present. Mr D. Hobbs suitably replied. Among those present were :—Mesdames J. Evetts, H.
