SAVED CHILD’S LIFE
VICTIMS OF WAR IN CHINA HAMILTON CHILDREN'S GIFT For the relief of Chinese victims of the war with Japan, two Hamilton children recently gave £5. Acknowledgement of the gift was received from the authorities yesterday, witli the following covering note: — “We thought you might like to know how we are using tiie money. We have applied the money you sent to the fund for the relief of refugee children. Your money has amply supplied food, clothing and keep for a Chinese child 1 for over a year. To be quite frank, you have enabled a child to live, because these refugee children to whom I have been referring are totally destitute and without help they would have no hope of receiving the bare necessities of life.”
