WEDDING AT MIDNIGHT
SWIMMER AND SOCIETY GIRL TWO CEREMONIES HELD (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) NEW YORK, August 19 The well-known swimmer and film actor Johnny Weissmuller, was married today to Miss Beryl Scott, aged 23, a San Francisco society girl, at 1.25 a.m. This unconventional hour was chosen because Weissmuller is performing at the New York .World's Fair. He obtained a divorce from Lupe Velez, film player, a few days ago. The wedding was held at Garfield, New Jersey, two ceremonies being performed, one upstairs, by a clergyman to please the bride, and the other downstairs by the Mayor to please the newsreel photographers.
