SYDNEY TRACK WORK

ROYAL CHIEF’S GALLOP BEAU VITE SHOWS LAMENESS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) SYDNEY, Aug. 20 None of the recently-arrived New Zealand horses participated at the Moorefield Races to-day, but Royal Chief, Peerless, Te Hero and Beau Rcpaire worked most satisfactorily on the tracks. Royal Chief showed no signs of leg trouble and had to be held back in a six-furlong gallop with Olympus in 1.21 J. Beau Repaire moved freely over three furlongs and is expected to be a handy performer in coming three-year-old events. Peerless had a good deal in hand in a seven-furlong gallop with Beau Vite. The latter afterward showed signs of ameness and his spring prospects do not appear bright.
