Racing Club, which will be submitted • to the annual meeting next Satury , day. - ! After providing for adequate de- ' preciation, the sum of £5,534 ls yd .1 lias been transferred to the credit of e the Accumulated Fund Account. For s . the season under review, stakes proe vided by the Club amounted to £15,- *. 925, being an increase of £975. The 0 Government taxes amounted to £22,|V 556 2s 9d, being £6631 2s 9d in cx- - cess of the stakes. For the three * meetings the weather was fine and _ the fields were good, the racing being is | of a high standard. 0 During the year arrangements were made with the mortgagees to ti pay off the club's debentures, ainount- '» ing to £12,050. The mortgagees advanced an additional £6500 and the h mortgages were rearranged and a now stand at £25,570. In this connection the Waikato Hunt accepted £ISOO in full payment of their de- A benture for £2OOO and the thanks of members are due to the hunt for their generous action. 1 The committee regretted to have to record the death during the year 1 of the following members: — Messrs W. Chittv, H. W. Dyer, L. 2 B. Harris, D. McDonald, 13. O'Brien and T. Clarkin. The late Mr Clarkin was an 3 energetic member of tits* committee i, for 22 years and at all times took .1 0 keen and active interest in the club's . welfare. His servfeea were wtUtaffy 2 • and cheerfully given when required >- ! and he will be greatly missed from i his post, on race days.
