Copyright; (Received July 11, 3 p.m.) LONDON, July TO Len Harvey outpointed Jock McAvoy in a 15-rounds contest for tiie world's cruiser-weight championship. Seventy thousand people witnessed the fight at White City, and numbers were turned away. Tiie queues extended for a quarter of a m.le. The crowd swept away the police and thrice crashed through the barriers and secured better seats. Traffic was chaotic. The fighting was vigorous throughout. Harvey, after clever defensive work, gained tiie initiative, fighting fast and purposefully. He scored with an effective straight left. Phillips Knocks Out Doyle A return match betwen Eddie Phillips and Jack Doyle resulted in Phillips knocking his opponent out in tiie first round.
