OLD BOYS MEET
ENGLISH PUBLIC SCHOOLS DINNER IN CAMBRIDGE (Special to Times) CAMBRIDGE, Monday The third annual dinner of the Waikato section of the English Public Schools’ Club was held in the Masonic Hotel, Cambridge, on Saturday. Dill. E. Annett, of Matangi, presided over an attendance of 40, which included a small contingent from Auckland. and several representatives of kindred associations. Since the club was formed in 1931, it has made rapid progress, and the Waikato is one o: the strongest country sections. Several toasts were honoured and Ihe members enjoyed a further happy period in meeting friends and exchanging reminiscences. The excellent educational facilities in New Zealand lu-day, as a result of Hie wisdom of the pioneer seltlers, formed Ihe basis of Dr Ari nett’s remarks in proposing the toast, “ Kindred Associations.” The English public schools bad helped considerably in selling the standard, be said. Replies were made by Mr It. R. Gibson. represen!ing i?i C Christ's College Old Roys’ Association, and MT T. Kelson Butler, the King's College nld Boys’ Association.
