FLETCHER CUP COMPETITION DETAILS OF JUDGING The results of the Fletcher Cup competition for export lambs sent to London from the last Auckland Show have been received, and are as follows:—H. and S. Rhodes, 1 and 3; X. Reid, 2. The exhibits placed first and third were both unplaced at the show, while Mr Reid's exhibit was placed second in Auckland. The lambs were judged and displayed on the Smithfleld market by W. Weddel and Company, Limited, on May 30. The judges’ report on the exhibits is as follows: First Prize.—Lot No. 9 : Three excellent lambs, which were in very good shape, well finished, and full of meat. Second Prize.—Lot No. 8: Three very level lambs, excellent butchers’ meat, hut could have been finished better. Third Prize. —Lot No. 2 : This pen contained two excellent lambs, hut the pen was spoiled by the third Jambs, which was overfat and leggy. Lot No. 1. —Highly commended. Three very fair lambs, in good shape but over-fat: one lamb slight in loins. Lot. No. 3: Three lambs of poor shape, one of which was ver> poor quality. Lot No. 4 : Three poorly-shaped lambs, one of which was very coarse and another exceptionally fat. Lot No. 5: Three lambs with very fair shape, one was unfinished on the legs and one slight in the loins. Lot. No. 6; mil? lamb was exceptionally fat and th - other two sliglrt of flesh. Lot No. 7: One Jamb very poor in the legs and Uie other two lambs over-fat.
