PROMPT ACTION

VEHICLES SAVED FROM FIRE (By Teleirrapfc.—Press Association) NATIONAL PARK. Monday The prompt action of a passer-by, Mr L. D. Booker, was responsible for saving a bus and three motor-cars when fire broke out in the garage at Turangi last night. Mr Booker broke a window, made his way into the bus, and removed it before it could be damaged. Three motor-cars were also removed. Fanned by a south-east wind, the flames spread to a storehouse, which was destroyed. A bucket brigade, however, managed to save the main building.
