CHATHAM CUP
ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL FIRST GAME OF SERIES ROYERS TO MEET HUNTLY STARR The South Auckland Football Association's senior competition will be suspended to-morrow when the first game in the Chatham Cup series will be played at Huntly. No senior game will take place at Seddon Park, but junior and intermediate games are set down for decision. Following the heavy rain during the week the field at Huntly might be in a very wet condition when Claudelands Rovers take the field against the home team in the game for Chatham Cup honours, and the uncertainty of the result might be increased. When the team went to Huntly at the start of the season. Rovers went down to, the home side by one goal but this defeat was avenged when the two teams met at Hamilton a fortnight later. Since then Rovers have not been beaten and can be expected to give a good account of themselves tomorrow. So far this season the Huntly eleven lias not had a very good run, although it has won two games out of live. However, with a chance of collecting the Chatham Cup at stake, the team is sure to give of its best to-morrow and bright fare can he expected. Mr T. Chalklin will be the referee and Messrs T. Green and E. Storey will be the linesmen. DRAW FOR TO-MORROW The draw for to-morrow’s games is as follows: Seniors. —Huntly Starr v. Claudelands Rovers at Huntly, 2.30 p.m. (Mr T. Chalklin).
