HERD OF COWS STRUCK
SOUTHBOUND EXPRESS ACCIDENT IN HEAVY FOG (By Telegrapb.—Press Association) INVERCARGILL. Thursday The Lytteit on-Invercargill express ran into a herd of cows at a crossing near Gore, seven being killed and olliers injured. The mishap occurred in a dense log, visibility being bad. ime animal was buried two chains from the crossing. The cows were the properly of .Mr W. G. Sinclair, of Balclullia, who hud accepted delivery of them a few minutes before the mishap, and they had just come out of a paddock on to the road.
