Copyright) LONDON, April 20 The latest Bank of England returns I are:— j Issue Department—Notes in circulation £485,000,000, notes in the banking department £41,200,000, oth°r Government securities £287,500,000, other securities £700,000, silver coin £BOO,OOO. Banking Department— Rest £3,100,000, public deposits £22,100,000, bankers’ deposits £96,500,000, other accounts £38,800,000, Government securities £101,900,000, discounts and advances £0,700,00u, other securities £24,200,000, notes and coin £42,200,000. Ratio of reserve to liabilities, 26.78. The. Bank of England discount rate remains unchanged at two per cent.
