CONSIDERABLE INCREASES WAIKATO LOCAL AUTHORITIES HOSPITAL BOARD FIGURES An interesting feature of the estimates confirmed at the monthly meeting of the Waikato Hospital Board yesterday was a table setting out the capital values of the contributing bodies to the board as compared with the values in 1938-39. In all but six cases the values showed increases. The largest increase was £1,397,107 in the Matamata County, and the most notable decrease was in the Waitomo County, where a drop of £24 4,190 was shown. Another large decrease was in the Te Kuiti Borough, where the value fell by £97.916. In the Hamilton Borough a rise of £95,420 was shown, and the increase in the Waikato County was £20,570. The following table sets out the capital values for 1939-40, with a comparison with those for the previous year:—
