Stolen Postal Notes Te Aroha shopkeepers who cashed postal notes for a casual customer this week had a surprise when bank and postal officials informed them that the notes had been stolen from the oflice at Ohau. The police arc making inquiries, and the post office lias decided to honour the notes. Motor Insurance Premiums Owing to the large number of accident claims lodged from the Westland district owners of motor vehicles have been notified by the insurance companies that premiums on comprehensive and accident policies after the current month will be raised 50 per cent. These policies are distinct from the compulsory third party risk covers. Export Wharf Work As a result of negotiations between the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, and the chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, Mr W. B. Darlow, the work on the new export wharf by the eastern reclamation at Auckland will he continued. Assurances have been given by Mr Nash, Mr Darlow stated, that will enable the hoard to proceed with tiie work.
