ROAD IMPASSABLE As a result of the rain yesterday and to-dav the main highway between Hamilton and Raglan is impassable without help, at a filling a mile on the Hamilton side of Te Uku. The whol# of the deviation is rought and slippery and motorists are warned that there is no possibility of reaching Raglan without assistance. AMERICA AND GERMANY WILL AMBASSADOR RETURN? NEW YORK. April 19 The United Press’ Washington correspondent says that Britain’s decision to return its Ambassador to Berlin is not expected to influence any immediate similar action regarding the United States Ambassador. Mr Wilson is still acting in a consultative capacity to the State Department. Diplomatic quarters believe that there will be no action regarding Mr Wilson's return pending Herr Hitler’s reply to Mr Roosevelt’s plea. It is believed the President would be disposed to re-establish normal diplomatic relations with Germany if Herr Hitler’s reply opens the way for negotiations.
