PROCEEDS REACH £956,000 (By Telegraph—Press Asseclatlon) WANGANUI, Tuesday The three major Wanganui wool sales of the current season have resulted in 73.306 bales being sold for £956,016. The average price for each bale was £l3 10s. From the corresponding sales of the previous season 63.55 4 bales were sold and the gross proceeds amounted to £877.798. the average price for each bale being £l3 16s 3d. At the last sale of the season Wanganui brokers sold 22.562 bales, the proceeds being £261.258, and the average price £ll 11s 7d At the corresponding sale in 1938 a total of 21.453 bales sold for £291.251, average price being £l3 11s 6d a bale.
