Yon Nida said in Australia Cremin was believed to be the best, putter in the world. The standard of golf in Australia was high, he said. To win the New South Wales competition it was necessary to better par figures. The New Zealand Centennial tourneys had aroused a great deal of interest in Australia. There would be at least fifteen professionals as well as a team of amateurs coming. He, too, was coming back for the tourneys. Von Nida said if the Golf Council were agreeable he would do what he could to induce American and English golfers to take part in the tourneys.
