CRUELTY STREAK
WOMEN INDICTED (Times Air Mail Service) LONDON. March *B. The quiet, serious type of woman has the strongest cruelty streak of all the humans, psychologists declared yesterday, says the Daily Mall. She forms the majority of the type referred to during Tuesday's discussion on flogging Biy a Standing Committee of the House of Commons, when Mr Rhys Davies, Socialist M.P for Westhoughtofi, Lancaster, declared: "Some women are more cruel than the men who sit on committees of the House of Commons.” A doctor at the London Institute of Medical Psychology explained yesterday that women were shown to l>e more cruel than nten by their enjoyment of all-in wrestling; their profit*ness to “overdo" horses when out riding, and the number of prominent women who oppose the abolition of flogging. Buf last year the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children dealt with 35.693 male offenders, and 35,171 females.
