PUBLIO 80HOOL8 PLAY AUCKLAND BEAT WAIKATO The English Public Schools Cricket Club (Auckland) beat the Waikato club in a match at King's College, Auckland, during the week-end and secured the Beechey Challenge Cup for the first time since it was presented, in 1936. Scores: —Auckland, first innings 170 (N. P. Walker 49, J. R. Morris 33, C. 11. Wilson 33). Waikato, first innings 87 (G. A. Acres 26, W. A. K. Davey 20, Mansergh, four for nine). Auckland won by 83 runs.
