The rate is unchanged. Nearly Missed Ship Mr J. A. Paterson, of Waikaka, Southland, who has been detailed for training with the Royal Air Force in England, nearly missed his passage by the Waimaraina yesterday. lie reached tiie Auckland wharf as the ship was moving down the stream. He secured a launch, and the Wa inarama, being signalled in the Ran-itoto Channel, stopped until the launch arrived.
