SPECIAL FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Waikato-Tharnes Valley Is as follows: Forecast: Light to fresh southeasterly winds predominating. Weather Tair to fine with rising temperatures. Sea* rather rough with easterly swell in the east coast, slight on the west. General situation: An anticyclone still covers New Zealand, hut pressure is falling over Tasmania. A tropical cyclone is moving south-eastwards passing eastward of the K'ermadecs.
