KITCHEN EVENING
FOR MISS PHYLLIS RUMBOLD Miss Phyllis Rumbold was the guest-of-honour recently at a pleasant “kitchen afternoon." held at the home of Mrs Horton Arthur, Nixon Street, Hamilton. A happy time was spent, competitions being won by Mesdames McCreadv, Yendall, Jlaswell and Fear. After a delicious afternoon tea had been served, Miss Rumbold was asked to open the gift parcels, for which she suitably returned thanks. Mrs Arthur received her guests wearing a dress of white silk linen, and Ibe guest-of-honour wore an ensemble of mauve cotelle relieved with white, and black picture hat. Those present were:—Mesdames Rumbold Palmerston North . Walker, McCready. Yendall, Bettis, Fear, liaswell. Arthur, Misses Rumbold and Bran ton.
