PARTY FOR BRIDE ELECT
KITCHEN AND LARDER EVENING A kitchen and larder evening was held in the Frankton Bowling Pavilion recently, for Miss Juanita Jones, who is shortly to be married. The evening, which was arranged by Mesdames E. A. Wood and A. E. Rockell and Misses Dot Keenan and Betty McLeod, was spent in dancing and community singing led by Mr 0. Jones. Items were given by Messrs Gordon Chambers, W. McLeod and 0. Jones, the accompaniments being played bv Mrs Sexton and Miss Jones. The spot waltz was won by Mrs Sterritt and partner, and Mrs Sterrilt also won the lucky number. Mr E. A. Wood was M.C. After supper the parcels were opened by Miss Jones and Mr G. Chambers, who thanked ttie donors for their good wishes and useful gifts. Those present, were:—Mrs Keenan, Mrs McLeod. Mrs Owen Jones. Mrs Chambers (Wellington , Mrs R. J. Powell. Mrs G. A. Plummer, Mrs Campbell Auckland . Mrs Gower, Mrs T. Evans. Mrs S. .-exton, Mrs J. Sterritt, Mrs Litchwark, Misses D. Keenan, E. McLeod. J. Powell. P. Fox, G. Smith, M. Litchwark, J. Collie, E. Milne, M. Powell.
