WEDDING

BOSTON—CLIFFE OYSTER SATIN GOWN The wedding took place in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Claudelands, on the evening of Saturday, March 18, when Joyce Regina, third daughter of Mr and the late Mrs A. S. Cliffe, of Ohaupo Road, Hamilton, was married to James Milton, first son of Mr and Mrs J. W. Boston, of Te Puninga, Morrinsville. The Rev. 11. G. Gilbert was the officiating minister and Mr E. 11. Apthorp presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a beautiful gown of oyster satin superb cut on classical lines, the full skirt falling to form a 6light train. The softly gathered bodice was finished with a row of tiny buttons from the waistline to the neckline at the back and the full sleeves tapered to points over the hands. Her beautiful tulle veil, which was worn over the face on entering the church, fell from a top-knot of orange blossom and she carried a sheaf of cactus dahlias. Miss Dorothy Cliffe and Miss Elaine Bos!on, sister of the bridegroom, were in attendance as bridesmaids and wore similar frocks of apple green taffeta, the bodices bring fashioned with bateau necklines of frilled sunray pleating and full puff sleeves. They

wore top-knots of cyclamen-shaded asters and dahlias and carried bouquets to match. Mr R. Boston was best man and Mr L. Bijlington was the groomsman. The ushers at the church were Messrs H. Cliffe and J. Boston. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Wattle Tearooms, which had been artistically arranged with cyclamen-shaded asters and greenery. Mrs J. W. Lewis, sister of the bride, received the guests wearing a frock of navy wool crepe de chine, with white relief and hat to tone. She carried a posy composed of scarlet dahlias and asters and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom’s mother was wearing a frock of plum-shaded silk with navy hat and she carried a posy of cactus dahlias, zinnias and maidenhair fern. When Mr and Mrs J. M. Boston left by car for the honeymoon, the bride travelled wearing a navy-striped costume with a pearl satin blouse and navy peach-bloom hat with matching accessories.
