Ono of the leading ladles of the Harry Langdon-Oliver Hardy comedy, ** it’s Spring Again,** is blonde June the actress who threw up a part hi a British picture to return to America during the September crisis. Aocording to preview reports, June is said to give what is easily her best performance to date opposite the com-o-diana. As a result, Hal Roach, now a producer for United Artists, has given her a contract. For him, she will play wtiat Is by far the most important role of her career—the lead in “ Captain Fury,” opposite Brian Ah erne and Victor McLaglen. Described as a “ saga of the colonisation of Australia in the middle of the nineteenth century,” ** Captain Fury ” will start production and will be both directed and produced by Hal Roach. To save the expense and trouble of going to Australia for exteriors, the studio will use the lonely, rocky, Fanta Cruz island, forty miles out from the Californian coasts as a location. Elaborate barracks and kitchens for more than 200 extras and technicians are being built on the Island, which will be occupied for six weeks.
