UNION SECRETARY’S THEFTS TERM OF IMPRISONMENT (By Telegraph.—Press Association) GREYMOUTH, Monday In the Magistrate's Court to-day William Pcndlebury (40), married, ex-secretary of the State Miners’ Union, was sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment for the theft of union funds totalling £IOO 8s lOd. It was stated the accused was worried over his wife’s illness and financial liabilities and gave way to drink and converted the union funds to his own use.
