SMALLER ENTRIES.

BTCCK SALE AT FRANKTON POORER QUALITY FORWARD Entries were smaller in all sections at. the Frankton stock sale to-day when any price changes were in the buyers' favour. In the beef section poorer quality.-descriptions, were forward and prices per bead were consequently below the level of last week. While"in" some cases values were definitely a shade lower, the market for both ox and cow beef was firm. The drop in prices was mainly due to poorer quality. Despite the fact that the entry was the smallest for over six months, the penning of fat sheep aroused a little enthusiasm and in some cases prices were just below those last week. In most instances, however, vendors were able to obtain last week's reduced values. As with the beef section, the quality of the entries in the sheep department was not as good as last sale. Competition was slack in the fat pig market and sometimes values tended to be a shade lower. However, there was no distinct drop in values.
