Copyright) PEKING, Jan. 30 The Japanese newspapers jubilantly announce with one voice that Genera] Wu Pei-fu has agreed to accept the post of head of a national pacification commission. It is known that Japan has recently brought pressure upon him to head a movement toward peace. His reply is a masterpiece of ambiguity. He declares the continuance of hostilities would wear out China and do no good to Japan.
