Mrs E. Wallace, River Road, left Hamilton during the week-end for Wellington, from where she will sail for England. Miss D. Mcnzies, matron of the Waikato Hospital, and Miss E. Greenwood, of the nursing staff, are attending the Trained Nurses’ Conference In Wellington. Miss D. Clegg, who has been holidaying at Mercury Bay, has returned to Hamilton. Mrs C. Jenkins, who has been visiting her mother-in-law’, Mrs K. Jenkins, Hamilton, has returned to Auckland. • • • * Mrs H. J. Boyd-Bell, Balclutha, who after spending a holiday at Inglewood with her mother, Mrs W. Messenger, has been on a short visit to Hamilton. * * * * Miss Mary Speight, Hamilton, has returned from a holiday spent at Mercury Bay. • » • *» Miss Dora Metcalf has returned to Kaimata after a holiday spent in Te' Awamutu. * • • • Miss L. Noble, Thames, and Miss M. Noble, Hamilton, are the guests of their sister, Miss K. E. Noble. Hawera. • • • • Mrs M. A. Hodgson, who has been holidaying at Milford, Auckland, returned home yesterday. • • • • Miss Jean McKinley, Pukengahu. Is visiting Hamilton. • • • • Mrs F. J. Patterson, Waitara, who has been visiting Te Awamutu, has returned home. * • * • Mrs Cuthbert B. Peart, Raglan, who has been staying with Mrs D. Millar, Park Neuk, Whakaronga, for the school holidays, returned home last week. • * • * Mrs C. Blundell, Te Awamutu, is visiting Auckland. Miss M. O’Connor, who has retired from the position of matron of the Taumarunui Hospital after 14 years’ service, was entertained by residents of the district and presented with a handbag and cheque from the European population and a Maori mat and Maori skirt from the Maoris.
