Williamson management has presented quite a number of Frank Neil's revues to the playgoers of New Zealand, and they have all prove.i attractive and successful, but it j s said that Mr Neil's best achievement has 1 n mplislied in “ Win 1;.. Serious?" which is to he staged at the Theatre Royal oil Monday January 9 - afternoon at 2.15 and'evening at 8 o'clock. The lead ; ng member of the company, which numbers over sixty people, is Mr W ill M.-.lmnev. who is said to he America's most popular comedian. Mr Mahoney scored an outsfand rig success in >vdnc\ and Melbourne, and he an.aze'd theatregoers in those cities by his dancing to popular melodies on the xylophone. Miss Evie Hayes is a young and brilliant New York artist who made an enormous success in Australia. Playgoers will lie delighted to know that Miss \ iolet Carlson is to be one of the principals in “ Whv Be Serious " This diminutive comedienne made herself tremendously popular when she appeared !n “ Balalaika " and •• The Desert Song." Jirnae is a brilliant young American artist who does some astounding sleight of hand tricks, and Whitey Roberts is a comedy dancing Juggler, who hails from the leading New York vaudeville theatres. Johnny Bryant, also from New York, is a whistler of outstanding talent, who created a furore of - enthusiasm in Australia and Lawrence Brooks is a young American singer who possesses a tenor voice of exceptional range and quality. Bob (ieraglity is a genuinely humorous comedian and Tex Morton is a cowboy yodeller whose records are well known throughout New Zealand.
