MR JUSTICE DETHRIDGE EFFECT ON INSURANCE SCHEME (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) MELBOURNE, Dec. 29 The death is announced of Mr Justice George James Dethridge, Chief Judge of the Commonwealth Arbitration Court, and also chairman of the Royal Commission on doctors' fees for the national insurance scheme, which has already been affected by the deaths of two baristers in the Kyeema air crash in October. Mr Justice Dethrldge. who was called to the Bar of Victoria in 1893, had been Chief Judge of the Commonwealth Court of Conciliation and Arbitration since 1926. MRS HUMPHREYS-DAVIEB (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Friday The death occurred yesterday of Mrs Ethel Dorothy Humphreys-Davies, wife of Captain G. Humphreys-Davies, the well-known sheepfarmer and authority on Oriental art, of “Freshwater,” Clevedon. Mrs Humphreys-Davies was born at Oakland, California, and came to New Zealand as a child with her father, Mr William Patton, a mining engineer who had been engaged to report upon properties In the Te Aroha district.
