HOLJDAY ARRANGEMENTS NO RUSH ANTICIPATED HOURS FOR MAIL DELIVERIES Last Friday's schedule of shopping hours will not be repeated to-night, the shops observing the ordinary Friday night hours. II is not anticipated that there will be any rush on the business houses this evening and, although the law allows the retailers to remain open until 10 p.m., it is not the intention of the business people in Hamilton to keep their doors open beyond the usual hour of 9 p.m. Victoria Street will be open to vehicular traffic, and will not be roped off as was the case last Friday. Although large numbers of holidaymakers are visiting the town it is not expected that the streets will be crowded any more than on an ordinary Friday evening. Butchers and Bakers The usual Saturday morning hours will be observed to-morrow, after which the shops will close until Wednesday. Bread will not be baked or delivered after to-morrow until Wednesday, and the same holidays will be observed by butchers. The latter will close at 8.30 this evening and will be open until 11.30 a.m. to-morrow. The banks will observe their usual hours to-morrow, and will close until Wednesday. The usual hours will be observed by the Post and Telegraph office tomorrow, and in addition a counter delivery will be made at the chief post office between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. A letter mail for dispatch by the Limited express will close at 8.30 p.m. on Sunday, and Monday will be a closed holiday for the post office and the money order savings bank. Mail for dispatch on Monday will close at 8 a.m. and in addition a letter mail for dispatch by the Limited will close at 8.30 p.m. The telegraph office will be open on Monday between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., while the telephone exchange will continue business as usual throughout the holdings.
