PEDESTRIANS STRUCK
MAN PARALYSED MOTOR-CYCLIST MAKES OFF (By Telegraph—Press Association) HOKITIKA. Wednesday Struck by a motor-cycle at 11.*20 last night, Mr Charles Leslie Harman received serious injuries to the head and spine, being paralysed. A pillion-rider, Miss Henderson, was rendered unconscious with head injuries. The former is in a serious state and the latter is satisfactory. The rider of the motor-cycle, whose identity is not definitely established, cleared out after the accident and has not yet reported. Mrs Harman, who was walking with her husband, received a slight injury.
