FISHER TO CHANGE STATUS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday The well-known Canterbury Olympics boxer Norman Fisher plans to turn professional soon. He represented New Zealand at the last Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 and has won the light-weight and welter-weight championships of Canterbury. An application has been made to the New Zealand Olympic and Empire Games Association for a release from his amateur bond, entered into at the time of the Olympic Games, which normally would not expire until next September.
