Sunday 60 48 Mean Temperature, 34 deg. The barometer reads 29.60 and has very little movement. Continued unsettled weather Is indicated to-day and tomorrow, with lower temperatures, westerly winds prevailing and heavy rain. Tho Rainfall Rainfall for 48 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, 1.04 m. Rainfall for previous 2 4 hours, .29in. Rainfall for June to date, UHI Average rainfall for June, 5.19 tn. Rainfall for year to date, 22.90in. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. SPECIAL. FORECAST (By Govt. Meteorologist). Tbe speeial forecast by tho Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThame* Valiev l* a* follow*: Forecast: Strong southwesterly winds to gales in places. Rather cold and changeable with passing showers, but gradually improving. Seas high on the west coast; rough on east coast. General Situation: The recent cyclonic depression is now centred north of Chatham Island.
