The Il.imilton branch of the association was represented by three delegates. To challenge and retain the interest of girls between 15 and 17 years the convention recommended that the aspect of citizenship should be emphasised tn programmes provided by the association. Recreation activities, it was considered, should be competitive only to stimulate the interest ami enjoyment of those taking part. Tin* holding of regional conferences ami tournaments was approved. It ‘was also recommended that activities arranged for girls aged t * years and under should not be held during evening hours.
