NEW COACH FOR AUCKLAND (By Telegraph.—press Association) AUCKLAND, Monday Engaged by the Auckland Rugbv League as a coach, Mr. R. Banham, the New South Wales representative five-eighth, arrived on the Monterey to-day. He will he placed in a local team as a player and has been a member of the South Sydney Club for four years. 'League is holding its place with Rugby in Australia,” said Mr. Banham. Although the controversy regarding the representative teams and the English tour has in no way abated, officials have to face the problem of declining gates, this being attributable mainly to starting price betting. ’
