Marriage Allowances. —It was an- | nounced in the British House of Com- i mons that medical officers in the Royal Navy, whose case was reserved for further consideration, are to receive marriage allowances under the same conditions as were recently granted to other naval officers. A free fair, under the auspices of the Waikato Regimental and Hamilton Municipal Band will be held in the Drill Hall, Knox Street, to-morrow. The fair will be officially opened at 2 p.m. by Colonel R. D. McFarland.
