NEW ZEALAND EX-SOLDIERS
HOBPITALITY IN SYDNEY THE ANZAC DAY CEREMONIES The hospitality with which former members of the A.I.F. will receive their New Zealand comrades, when the Dominion’s contingent arrives in Sydney for the Anzac Day ceremonies, was illustrated yesterday, says the Sydney Sun. A Digger called at R.S.L. headquarters, and said he would be glad to give quarters to two New Zealanders. He had a room already prepared for them, he said, and had got his car into great running trim to show them the sights. The New Zealand contingent is likely to number 2000. When the contingent lands on April 23, it will march, headed by massed bands, to the Cenotaph. Anzac Day Bervice The padre for the contingent, Dean Cruickshank, of Dunedin, will take the religious service in the Domain on Anzac Day. “ Of all Anzac Days since the war, this will be the greatest,” said the president of the R.S.L., Mr Robb. Fifty thousand war veterans will take part in the big parade, including contingents from other States. Victoria is sending two trains full. Men will also come from Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands.
