AUSTRALIAN TOUR GAMES IN DOMINION IN HAMILTON JUNE 29 Badminton enthusiasts in the Waikato will experience a full season this year, as besides the holding of the New Zealand championships in Hamilton members of the Australian team to tour the Dominion will also play matches in Hamilton. The visitors will play in Hamilton on June 29. The team of four men and four women will arrive in Wellington on June 21, and will be divided into two sections, one section touring the North Island and the other section the South Island. The itinerary is as follows: First Section— June 22—Hawke's Bay. at Hastings. June 23—Western Districts, at Wanganui. June 25—North Island, at New Plymouth. June 2* —Auckland, at Auckland. June 29—Waikato, at Hamilton. June 30—Rotorua, an exhibition match. July 2—Manawatu, at Palmerston North. July 5 and 6—New Zealand, at Wellington. Second Section— June 22 —Wairarapa, at Masterton. June 23 —Wellington, at Wellington. June 25 —Canterbury, at Christchurch. June 27—South Canteibury. at Timaru. June 2R—Otago, at Oamaru. June 30—South Island, at Dunedin. July I—Southland, at Invercargill. ST. JOHN’S CLUB ELECTION OF OFFICER^ There was an enthusiastic tone at the annual meeting of the St. John’s Badminton Club, at which the president, the Rev. G. Brown, presided, when another successful year was predicted. The annual report disclosed a very successful year’s operation, with the club in a sound financial position. The following officers were elected: President, the Rev. G. Brown; vicepresident, Mr W. B. Young; captain, Miss V. Watkins; vice-captain. Mr E. Carson: hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr I. Fell; committee. Miss M. Calderwood. Messrs W. Watkins, E. Sanders, and officers ex-officio. It was decided to purchase a pingpong set this season and to hold tiie opening night on Saturday, April 9.
