WELLINGTON CONFERENCE HAMILTON MEMBER HONOURED BUSINESS SESSIONS TO-DAY (By TeJpjrrnpr.—press association) WELLINGTON. Thursday The official opening of the Methodist Church annual Dominion conference took place ‘1 is cve ning at the Wranaki Street Church. The Rev. F. Copeland ■resided. There was a full attendance • ? ministers and lay delegates from all parts of the Dominion. The Rev. Percy Paris, president for 1938, was introduced b> the Rev. E. . Patchett. Dr. 11. Ranston and Mr R. -. Maunder, and was welcomed by the f'x-presiqent. the Rpv. F. Copeland. Mr .1. H. Tiet.jens. of Hamilton, was dented vice-president for 1938, and the Rev. W. A. Rurley. secretary. During tlm day the conference was engaged in commit lee work. The full conference will deal with general business to-morrow.
