Adventure with a Bullock. — An exciting Incident occurred on the Blen-heim-Nelson highway recently. A motorist encountered a small mob of ••attle and pulled to the side of the road. A bullock harged the car. which the driver evacuated and jumped the fence, and thought he was sap*, but the animal swept round the car. negotiated the fence. and gave chas". The motorirst. however, managed to regain the >ar. which he promptly started, and effected his escape. Bottle’s Sea Voyage. —Thrown from the Monterey on November 26 last, a bottle was picked up on Saturday between Bowentown and Walhl Beach, having travelled nearly 400 miles. It contained Instructions to return the paper to the Navy Department. Washington. with a view to assisting in the verifTcaMon of the circulation of ocean currents.
