At % special meeting of the executive of the Dominion council of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children, held to-day, the president. Mrs James Begg, spoke of the great loss the society had rof d through ttie death of Sir H ruby King, and ttie following resolution was placed on record:— “This society mourns the loss of its groat founder. Sir Truby King. The society, of which he was the head, owes its being to his spiritual and moral leadership, which Inspired thousands of men and women to enlist in the cause which was so dear to his heart, the welfare of women and children. Sir Truby King began the crusade which was to have such wonderful success when in the prime of life, and even when waning physical powers deprived the society of his immediate direction it remained his chief Interest. The sympathy of the society is extended to Miss Mary King, relatives and intimate friends In their bereavement. Sir Truby King’s memory will remain an inspiration to the society, enabling it to continue his great work for women and children as its best tribute to its beloved leader.’*

STATE FUNERAL WELLINGTON ARRANGEMENTS (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The late Sir Truby King will be’accorded a State funeral, which it apwill be one of the most impressive ever held in Wellington. No other private citizen has been buried in Wellington with full State honours. Sir Truby King will be buried in a vault in the grounds at Melrose Heights, overlooking Cook Strait, where he lived for so long, special permission for this having been granted some time ago. Arrangements have also been made for the remains of the late Lady King, who died some years ago. to be laid beside those of her husband. The body of Sir Truby King will lie in state at St. Paul's Pro-cathedral on Saturday morning for three hours, and during that time nurses and officials of the Plunket Society will be stationed beside the casket.
