Cloudy and unsettled weather is indicated to-day and tomorrow, with high temperature and north-easterly winds prevailing and rain folkwing. The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Moderate to strong northerly wind. Weather dull and misty, with intermittent rain. Temperatures warm. Seas moderate to rather rough. General inference: Pressure is still rather high to the east of New Zealand, while a depression is centred off the coast of Westland. A fresh and deep westerly depression has developed over southeastern Australia.
