ANNIVERSARY DAY
HAMILTON EN FETE SPORTS THROUGHOUT WAIKATO Anniversary Day to-morrow will be marked by a wide variety of social and sporting attractions in Hamilton and throughout the Waikato and a large influx of visitors from all over the province is expected. The main attraction will be the Hamilton Regatta and Carnival. For the rowing events crews are coming from as far as Wanganui and beyond Auckland and there are also large entries for the St. John Ambulance and South Auckland Caledonian Society competitions. Competition cricket games and oneday bowling tournaments will also be held throughout the day in Hamilton, while a polo tournament is being held at Matamata and athletic and cycling sports meeting at Te Awamutu.
