OBITUARY
MR J. B. RYBURN (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU, Friday The death occurred yesterday of Mr Janies Benjamin Ryburn, aged 28, son of Mr J. J. Ryburn. of Ngahinapouri, chairman of the Waikato Hospital Board and a member of the Central Waikato Electric-Power Board. The late Mr Ryburn was a wellknown and popular resident of the Ngahinapouri district, and was educated at the Hamilton High School, which he represented in several sports. MR STEPHEN PILCHER The death occurred in Hamilton yesterday of Mr Stephen Pilcher, aged 83 years. Born in Wellington the late Mr Pilcher with his parents, six brothers and three sisters moved to Clyde, Hawke’s Bay. They travelled by pack horses, the journey being long and arduous. Later Mr Pilcher and his brothers were operating a Mi resiling plant in the Hawke’s Bay district, doing a good deal of contracting work. Abou! 25 years ago Mr Pilcher came to the Waikato, where up to 10 years ago he was engaged in farming a! Roto-o-rangi. Orini and Morrinsville. Since then he had been living in Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, seven daughters and two sons. There are 14 grandchildren.
